One thing puzzles me, though... the Master is on his 12th regeneration, yet how come he survives? IIRC, was Sylvester McCoy the next doctor to run into the Master? (I could be wrong here...)

Nope, Peter Davison, Colin Baker then Sylv McCoy.

The Master was briefly The Keeper of Trakken and managed to use his temporary powers to take over the body of Nyssa's father Tremas. Thus he managed to live on.

Thanks for the info. I must not have seen Davison taking him on... and I didn't really like Colin Baker.

Peter Davison was the doc I remember growing up... at the time, I had only caught the end of the Baker era...

The Baker era also gave some of the most memorable companions, K9 and Romana in particular.

The Master is actually in Castrovalva (the next story after Logopolis). He's also in The Five Doctors and a couple of other Davison ones. He's in a couple of Colin Baker ones, and he's in the last ever story with McCoy.

My own favorite era is probably the Davison one, as I also grew up with that. There was lots of good stories at that time too. Tom Baker is unbeatable in the role though, I must admit.

Cool, I'll need to keep a eye open for any of these episodes on TV or if I can source them on video or DVD.

Seems I was wrong about Baker being the longest serving... the BBC site states the time period for McCoy as being until 1996, when the movie appeared. Mind, he wasn't active for much of that period... argh, I'm warbling again, sorry.

Yes, McCoy was not active for most of that!

Agreed... having read a few of the plots to the Davison and Colin Baker era, I need to get some of these. They don't make TV series like these anymore... more is the pity.

I'm on the last DVD of Key to Time. Trying to savor it

I've actually not seen any of the Key to Time season. I keep meaning to borrow it from my friend, but always forget.

I also need to try to see episode 1 & 3 of the e-space trilogy... I've only seen State of Decay so far (I've also read the book of this episode)

I loved the bat-controlling guy in that (Aukon I think he's called). So hammy.

Robots of Death had me in stitches when I saw it... the crew constantly arguing over who had commited the murders, interpreting meaning to what someone else says, and passing the blame to whomever.

Oh... and that's me now hit 200 posts.
